Jesse is buried in the North Plains Cemetery, located at the corner of 
Olmstead and Schaefer Roads, northeast of Ionia and just north of Muir, 
Michigan. The headstone is new and has been replaced. It includes five 
different names under the heading of Shamp; including Jesse- 1871-1851, and 
his wife Ida- 1874-1937. The other names are: June- 1926-1926, Anna Paddy 1906-
1997, and John 1899-1981. I know that John is Jesse's son John Clarence Shamp. 
I am pretty sure that Anna is John's wife and I am guessing that June was 
John's and Anna's daughter.
