Edwin C Friend to Caroline Jewell: Recd for Record Nov. 8. 1865, J. S. Bennett Clerk.
This is to certify that Edwin C Friend of the township of Sebewa County of Ionia and
the State of Michigan aged twenty two years and Caroline Jewell of the Same place aged 
nineteen years were by their mutual consent lawfully joined together in Holy Matrimony which
was solemnized by me in presence of William Estep and Lucius E Showerman. Given under my
hand at Sebewa this 1st of October in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred &
sixty five.
