1890 CENSUS: SURVIVING SOLDERIES, SAILORS, AND MARINE, AND WIDOWS IOSCO COUNTY MICHIGAN *********************************************************************** March 28 1995 Introduction Copyright c1995 by the Huron Shores Genealogical Society. This booklet was prepared by the Huron Shore Genealogical Society, c/o the Robert J Parks Public Library, 6010 N Skeel Ave, Oscoda MI 48750, 989-739-9581. List of Veterans. The booklet is a verbatim transcription of the Iosco County Michigan, Special Schedule of 1890 Federal Population Census titled, Surviving Soldiers, Sailors, and Marines, and Widows, etc. It is sequenced by Iosco County Townships, if you do not know the township use the index to veterans which give you the page number the veteran appears on. Although the 1890 Population Census for Michigan was burned in a fire in Washington DC, this Special Schedule survived the fire. Blanks in the transcription represent words that were not readable on the microfilmed copy used by the compiler. Most of the unreadable words are caused by scratches on the microfilm, and some words are just not legible. A different microfilm copy may be more readable for those who wish to pursue a specific missing entry for their own genealogical research. Microfilm copies are available in most of the large libraries in Michigan, and through the Mormon Church Family History Centers. A copy of this booklet is available for $6.00, add $2.00 if mailed. A copy of the original record of a veteran is available for $3.00, post paid. Send your order, and a check payable to the Huron Shores Genealogical Society, to the Society address shown above.
