                       Ruth Elizabeth Drake

Ruth Elizabeth Drake,87, of Ionia passed away July 3, 2010. She was born Dec.16, 
1922, in Ionia the daughter of Michael J.and Anna M.(Hacker) Dreger.

She married Richard S. Drake Sept.30, 1942, at St.John Lutheran Church in Ionia. 
She was a member of John's Lutheran Church all of her life.She was very serious 
in her faith.She worked as a bank teller at Ionia County National Bank for over 
20 years. She enjoyed golfing.

Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 67 years Richard Drake of Ionia; sons 
Douglas (Judith) Drake of Lansing, Brian (Patricia)Drake of Lowell; brother 
William (Betty Mohieu) Dreger of Kalamazoo; grandchildren Timothy Kerri Lynn, 
Benjamin (Rachel) Matthew, Daniel (Sally) and Jeffrey (Linda); five great 
grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers Charles (Carl), Wilbur (Bud) and 
Herman; and four sisters Josephine Mathe, Elenora Teichmann, Minnie Kobel, Anna 
Browning.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 8, at the St.John's 
Lutheran Church with Pastor David Bogda officiating. Visitation will be at the 
Lake Funeral Home in Ionia from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
