41 Years Rolland Resident
Highly Respected Lady Answers Summons of Death

Mrs. Sarah BAKER, one of the pioneers of Rolland Twp, passed away at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. 
Wallace MOODY. Mrs. BAKER had fallen and broken a limb a few days before. 

Sarah Jane TAYLOR was born in Ohio 13 January 1849. She married Adam BAKER 5
November 1865. To 
their union were born eight children, two dying in infancy. She leaves two sons,
Clell of Blanchard and 
Jay of Alma, and four daughters, Mrs. Wallace MOODY of Blanchard, Mrs. Sadie LOWE of
Winn, Mrs. 
Maude PACKARD of Flint, and Mrs. Kitty ABBOTT of Two Rivers, three brothers, William
of Blanchard, Ira 
of Indiana and Lee of Grand Rapids. 

She had been a resident of the Rolland community for 41 years.
