'ISABELLA COUNTY ENTERPRISE' 15 May 1896 Denver twp.
"Jason BOWEN died at his residence on Section 6 last Friday after an illness of several 
weeks. He was one of Denver's oldest settlers. The funeral services were conducted at the 
house by Rev. and Mrs. Hinman of Clare. The remaines were buried in Loomis 
Cemetery".

'ISABELLA COUNTY ENTERPRISE' 25 Nov. 1904
"Mary BOWEN was born in Canada in the year 1830 and moved to Michigan some 30 
years later and died 13 Nov. 1904 at the age of 74 years. She leaves 3 sons and 3 
daughters to mourn her loss. Services were held in the M.F. Church at Loomis by the 
Rev. H.W. Jerrett of Leaton, after which the body was carried to it's last resting place.".
