ISABELLA COUNTY' (obits taken from grandmothers scrapbook)

June 1936: Oscar BOWEN died Friday morning the 21st of June at the home of his 
daughter, Mrs. Jack Aube of Clare. He was born in Norfolk County, Canada in 1868 and 
came to Isabella County at the age of 10 years where he resided up until about 25 years 
ago, when he moved to Muskegon. He was married in Isabella County to Nettie 
LACKEY in 1888. He is survived by his wife and three children: Mrs. Albert Aube of 
Clare, Frank BOWEN of Lake City and James BOWEN of Muskegon; also two sisters 
and one brother: Mrs. Cordelia MITCHELL of Coleman and Mrs. Lydia OWENS of 
North Bradley and Peter BOWEN of Enterprise, Oregon; eleven grandchildren and two 
great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the First M.E. 
Church and interment was made in the local cemetery".
