Died:  March 30, 1948 - at home - after a two-year illness
Occupation:  Farming - resident of Mt. Pleasant community for 50 years.
Born:  May 8, 1879 - Marietta, Ohio
Survivors:  Widow - Liewella; Children - Wretha Philo, Helen Wheeler, Rex 
Fair, Rolland Fair, R.J. Fair of Mt. Pleasant, Ralph Fair of Hopkins, Raymond 
Fair of Midland, Roy Fair of Allegan, Albert Fair of Newberry, and Rose Stahl 
of St. Louis.
Funeral:  held at Stinson Funeral Home at 2 pm Friday, April 2, 1948
Burial: held at Chippewa Cemetery - with Rev. Charles Mackenzie officiating
