OBITUARY:  MRS. MELINDA GOFFNETT
        SHEPHERD - Funeral services for Mrs. Melinda Goffnett, 91, who died
Saturday at a Mount Pleasant hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the
Garber Funeral Home, Shepherd. Burial will be in the Salt river Cemetery.
        She was a Shepherd resident for 80 years and is survived by four
daughters, Mrs Lola Granger of Waterford, Mrs Lillian Bowman of Perrinton,
Mrs Flossie Kirkconnell, Shepherd, Mrs Hazel DeHart of Grand Ledge; two
sons, Lawrence of Mount Pleasant, and Albert of Alma; 17 grandchildren,
several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren
