He was born in Wuerttemberg, Germany, August 3, 1840, and came to this country with his parents at an early age, living for a time in Washtenaw and Huron counties. In 1892 he moved his family to Denver township where he resided at the time of his death. He leaves a sorrowing widow, nine children and 14 grand children. The funeral took place Wednesday at 1 o'clock from the home with burial at the cemetery in Delwin, Rev List of Mt. Pleasant officiating.
