ISABELLA COUNTY REPUBLICAN

27 JUNE 1946

EMORY LAWRENCE HARLESS

Emory Lawrence HARLESS was born in Lincoln County, West Virginia on
21 December, 1896, and died 20 June, 1946 at Stirling.
He was married to Merle McCLURE, who with is four children survives him.
Mrs. Ronald BROKAW,Mrs. Raymond BROKAW,living near,Olsen David and
Joy, both at home. Also surviving is his father, Walter HARLESS of 
Griffithsville, West Virginia; five brothers,Vhilt of W.VA., Foster and Harold and
Chester all of Mt. Pleasant, and Dell of Rosebush.
Mr. HARLESS was an ordained minister in the Baptist Church and a veteran
of WWI.
Funeral services were held at the Garber Funeral Home Sunday afternoon,
Rev. L. J. HOOVER officiating and interment in the Salt River Cemetery.
Fellow employees of the Basin Oil Company at Stirling acted as pall-bearers.
