EMMA JOHNSON DIES IN HOSPITAL Services Held at Farwell Tuesday Conducted by Revs. House and Whitney Emma Snear was born in Tuscola county, Mich., on October 17, 1870 and died May 14, 1927 at Hurley hospital at Flint of a complication of diseases after an illness extending over a period of several years. Age fifty-six, six months and twenty-seven days. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Snear, when still a small child they came to Isabella and Clare counties where she has resided for over forty years. In 1885 she was married to Claud Babcock who died October 10, 1900. To this union was born seven sons, one died in infancy, and Oscar in the World War. March 3rd, 1903 she was married to William Johnson, to this union was born one son. She is survived by her husband and six sons, Fred Babcock, of Clio; Ralph, Ben, Herman, and George Babcock, all of Mt. Morris; and Louis Johnson , of Farwell, and three brothers, three sisters and sixteen grandchildren. Mrs. Johnson walked humbly with Christ in the Christian way and died in that faith. Services were held from the Methodist church at Farwell Tuesday, May 17, Rev. Mrs. House and Rev. Whitney, officiating.
