Obituary:
Mrs. Martha L. Fordyce

Mrs. Martha Leonard Fordyce, aged 88, Widow of Archibald Fordyce, of Coe Mich.,
died February 01, 1929 and funeral services were held the following Monday
afternoon in the Coe church. Interment was at Coe, Mich.  Mrs Fordyce was born
January 7. 1841 in Greene County and was the daughter of Rev. William Leonard,
one of Greene County's pioneer ministers, she was the last of a large family. In
August  of 1849 she was married to Archibald Fordyce and to this union was born
one son, Ezekial G., who died three years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Fordyce went to
Michigan in 1865 and spent the remainder of their lives there. In her girlhood
days, Mrs Fordyce united with the Christian church and remained a faithful
member until her death, She leaves two grandchildren, Fay Fordyce and Mrs.
Linnie McNaughton, of Coe, Mich. Edison Fordyce, of Rogersville, is a nephew.
