Leosh was born November 3, 1885 in Wise township, Isabella County. He passed from this life December 9 at his home near Loomis where he spent most of his married life. October 30, 1913 he was united in marriage to Miss Ethel Anderson of Clare. Their home was blessed by two children, a son and a daughter. He leaves to mourn his departure his bereaved wife Ethel, the daughter Thelma Loucks of Clare, the son William Jr. of Gladwin, five grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Philla Goodnow, Mrs. Lila Merkle of Clare, four brothers, Alvin and Ivon of Clare, Rev and Frank of Grant Michigan and a host of relatives and friends. The many beautiful floral offerings were silent tribute to the esteem in which he was held. The deceased was not in good health for some time, but always looked on the bright side never complaining. He welcomed everybody in his home with a smile, he was a kind and loving husband and father. Besides his farming he was Highway Commissioner for seven or eight years and worked at the Clare Manufacturing Company for six years. He retired from there in 1953 on account of poor health.
