OBITUARY:  MARY ELIZABETH MILLER
        SHEPHERD-Mrs Mary Elizabeth Miller, 84, R. 1 Elwell, died Friday in
Gratiot Community Hospital, Alma.
        She was a member of St. Patrick's Church and its Altar Society, and the
League of Catholic Women
        Surviving are seven daughters, Miss Hazel Miller of Elwell, Mrs Florence
Pung of Portland, Mrs Marion Shaw of Nashville, Mrs Teresa Simon of Greece,
Mrs Esther Edward of Saginaw, Mrs Gladys Hanses of Floresent, Mo., and Mrs
Katherine Nye, Saginaw; three sons, William of Kingston, Harold of Alma and
Walter of Saginaw; 76 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; and a
sister, Mrs Bertha Donnelley, Stockton, California.
        Rosary will be Saturday at 9 p.m. at Garber Funeral Home, Shepherd.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's church,
Irishtown, with burial in the church cemetery.
