Sisco Dec. 13, 1919 - Aug. 11, 2002 Virgil A.D. Sisco, 82, of Lake, went to Heaven on Aug. 11, 2002. He was born Dec. 13, 1919, in Isabella County to Orie and Elizabeth (Darnell) Sisco. He married Emma Gene Hillier March 26, 1945, in Toledo. Virgil attended Barryton Church of God for 45 years and taught Sunday School for many years. He was a drill sergeant during World War II for four years in the United States Army and retired from the Mt. Pleasant Center in 1981. Besides loving his children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren, he enjoyed bowling, fishing, (bow) hunting, storytelling and writing poems. Virgil is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Emma; three children, Raymond (Bonnie) Sisco, Barb (Rodney) Simmer and Allen (Tami) Sisco, all of Lake; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Gertrude Sperry of Mt. Pleasant; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Virgil was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will take place at 11a.m. Wednesday at the Barryton Church of God with Pastor John Mellish officiating. Graveside service will be at North Brinton Cemetery.
