Mr. Snear went to Frankfort on Thursday, returning with the corpse on Saturday. The funeral was held on Sunday, at the church at Loomis, and the remains buried in the cemetery there. A minister from Leaton officiated and the house was full to the doors. We cannot learn particulars about the accident, but it seems that Joe was struck by a falling tree which pinioned him to another tree, striking him over the heart and on the left cheek. Probably death was instantaneous. Another young man of about his age was with him when he was killed, and one or two others were nearby. Joseph Snear was in his 24th year, and was of good habits, industrious and agreeable company.
