GEORGE WHITEHEAD CALLED BY DEATH
               -------------------------
Has Been a Resident Of Isabella County For Over Fifty Years
               --------------------------
George Whitehead, a prominent farmer and resident of Isabella county for more
than fifty years, died at his home Tuesday, January 11, at one o'clock.
 Mt. Whitehead was born in New York state, 68 years ago, and came to Michigan
when a young boy.
 Besides his wife, he leaves five children to mourn his death, Edward, living
near Shepherd, Mrs. Bessie Ash of Saginaw; Gretchen of Lansing, Alfred and Della
at home, also one brother Frank Whitehead, and one sister, Mrs. Chas Slater of
this city. 
 Funeral services will be held this afternoon from the home at 1 o'clock with
interment in Riverside cemetery.
