Evelyn M. Salchert, 61, Rosebush MI, died July 4 at Central Michigan Community 
Hospital.  She was born Nov. 6, 1914, in Wise Township, Isabella Co., MI and 
was a life resident of Isabella County.  She is survived by her husband, 
William; a daughter, Mrs. Dana (Phyllis) Nagy, Rosebush MI; a son, William, 
Mt. Pleasant MI; four grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Iva Gerow, Loomis MI.
Funeral services will be at St. Henry's Catholic Church, Rosebush MI with 
burial at Denver Township Cemetery.  There will be a prayer service at the J. 
J. Rush Funeral Home.

William E. Salchert, 76, of Rosebush MI, died Saturday, April 15, 1995, at 
Central Michigan Community Hospital in Mt. Pleasant MI.  A Mass of Christian 
Burial will take place at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Rosebush MI. Burial 
will be in Denver Township Cemetery.  Arrangements were handled by Lux Funeral 
Home in Mt. Pleasant MI. A life resident of Isabella County, Mr. Salchert was 
born May 24, 1918, in Denver Township, Isabella Co., MI, the son of Michael 
and Margaret (Perry) Salchert. He married Evelyn Butler Feb. 3, 1941. She 
preceded him in death July 4, 1976.  Mr. Salchert was employed as a mechanic 
at Central Michigan University for 19 years, retiring in 1981. He also enjoyed 
farming, hunting, and playing cards. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Moose 
Lodge No. 195 and St. Henry's Catholic Church.  He is survived by a daughter, 
Phyllis (Dana) Nagy of Fife Lake MI; a son, William J. (Sandra) Salchert of 
Mt. Pleasant MI; four grandchildren, Jonn (Danielle) Nagy of Fife Lake, Jason 
Nagy of Fife Lake, Chad Salchert of Mt. Pleasant, and Suzanne (Bruce) Lilly of 
Mt. Pleasant; one great-grandchild, Kaley Rose Lilly of Mt. Pleasant, his 
companion, Irene Evans, and her children, Jim (Nancy) Evans of Holt MI, Kathy 
(Lee) Pochert of Marquette MI, Michael Evans and his fiancee, Leila Vogel of 
Mt. Pleasant, Robert (Pam) Evans of Mt. Pleasant, John Evans and his friend 
Jackie Cotter of Mt. Pleasant and William Evans of Mt. Pleasant; three 
sisters, Helen Slider of Colorado, and Leila Cloud and Margaret Punches, both 
of California; a sister-in-law, Rose Salchert, and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Salchert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Evelyn, four 
sisters; a brother; a great-grandchild, Cody James Lilly, and his companion's 
daughter, Mary Ann Evans.
