Jackson Citizen Patriot, 5 March 1953
Sherwood, George B. -
204 Hague Ave., passed away at Mercy Hospital Tuesday, 2:43 p.m., aged 78 
years.  Surviving are the wife, Josephine, five sons, Willard, Robert, Richard, 
all of Jackson; Lewis of Grass Lake; George, Jr. of Lansing; five daughters, 
Mrs. Ruth Brown, Mrs. Madeline Puffer, and Mrs. Frances Decker, all of Jackson; 
Mrs. Bernadine Poole and Mrs. Vera Godfrey, both of Miami, Florida; one 
brother, Walter of Jackson, 42 grandchildren.  He was a member of Vandercook 
Lake Methodist Church, International Association of Machinists and the Pioneer 
Association.  Mr. Sherwood is at the Horne Funeral Home where services will be 
held Friday at 2 p.m.  Burial at Mt. Evergreen.

Note:  Josephine is George Bunting Sherwood's second wife.  First wife was Cora 
Belle Parsons Sherwood.
