Mrs. Elizabeth Cecelia CRYAN - 625 Davis St., age 82, passed away at Borgess 
Hospital early Friday morning after an illness of 10 years. Mrs. CRYAN was 
born November 10, 1875, in Oshtemo, Mich. the daughter of Bernard KANE and 
Bridget MCGUIRE. She was a llife resident of Kalamazoo County and had lived at 
the present address for 60 years. Mrs. CRYAN was a life member of St. 
Augustine Church, an honorary member of the Workers of Mary, a member of the 
Gold Star Mothers, past member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was an Air 
Raid Warden in World War II. She was married to Matthew J. CRYAN in St. 
Augustine Church in 1893, who preceded her in death November 9, 1934. Also 
preceding her in death were an infant daughter, Constance, an infant son, 
Donald; Frances F. a veteran of World War I died in 1937 and Mathew L. , Naval 
Sea Bee, died in service in 1943. Mrs. Cryan is survived by four daughters, 
Mary CRYAN, at home, Sister M. Casilda, SSJ, St. Ritas, Detroit, Mrs. Burnett 
C. (Helene) BAUER, Granger, Ind. and Mrs. Lawrence J. (Winifred) ZEMLICK of 
Kalamazoo, one sister, Katherine W. KANE of Los Angeles, Calif 16 
grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Frieends are being received at the 
Redmond Funeral Home, where friends and the Workers of Mary will meet to 
recite the rosary Sunday evening at 8:15. Funeral services will be held from 
St. Augustine Church, Monday morning at 9. Burial in the family lot, Mt. 
Olivet Cemetery. source:
