The Climax Crescent, October 18,1918
C. Floyd Gardner was born in Otsego County, New York, October 26, 1861 
departed this life at his home in Climax October 14, 1918 aged 57 years.  

He was married in Otsego, N.Y. January 13, 1883 to Eliza Ann Reynolds.  After 
a residence then of 28 years they moved to Michigan the father coming first 
and afterwards the mother and son Lynn.

His wife preceded him a little over one year ago, and a son dying at the age 
of 16.

He leaves a daughter Carrie Belle Brisco and a son Lynn of Battle Creek, a 
brother Elmer Gardner of Battle Creek and one aunt Mrs. Rose Card who 
ministered to him during his last illness.

He had been a sufferer for over two years with sugar diabetes which terminated 
in his death.

Funeral services were held from the home Wednesday conducted by Elder 
Kitzmiller.  Interment in Climax cemetery.
