MANION, Martin A., 4222 S. Westnedge.
Passed away early Friday morning November 27, 1992.  Martin was born in 
Kalamazoo, MI January 23, 1906, the son of Thomas and Jennie Manion and was a 
life resident in this area.  Previous to his retirement he was employed as the 
Illinois Envelope Company as a printer for forty-seven years.  He was a member 
of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, a 50 year member of The Knights of Columbus 
Council 1616.  In the '20's and '30's he was an outstanding City League 
baseball and basketball player and coached the Bryant girl's basketball team.  
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister, Maron and Thomas Manion 
and Jennie Taylor.  Friends will be received...at the 
Redmond Funeral Home...where a rosary will be recited Sunday evening at 7.  
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Jospeh's Catholic Church Monday morning 
at 10:30.  Father Michael Hazard Celebrant.  Interment in Mt. Ever-Rest.
