Edward C. Mannion, 54, of 203 South Dartmouth street, veteran of World War I and pressman at the Kalamazoo Stove and Furnace Company for the last 15 years, died early today at Bronson hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Mannion was born May 27, 1893, in Neenah, Wis., and came to Kalamazoo with his parents in 1911. He was a barber before his employment as a pressman. He was a member of the St. Augustine church. He leaves his mother, Mrs. John Mannion; five brothers, Martin, Erie, Pa., John, Aberdeen, Wash., William and Godfrey, Kalamazoo, and Walter, Louisville, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews."
