Redmond, 55, one of the Redmond family known everywhere on account of its active connection with the paper industry, died Monday morning at his home, 1521 East avenue, after an illness of several months. He was a victim of paralysis and had been failing steadily. During his years of activity he was an energetic and aggressive worker. Mr. Redmond was born in 1871 in Kalamazoo and had resided here all of his life with the exception of a few years spent in Thorold, Ontario. He was a millwright and had been connected with the Kalamazoo Paper Company for many years. ACTIVE CHURCHMAN A member of the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society of St. Augustine's church, he was always active in church affairs and he had a large number of friends in this city. Besides his widow, he leaves three children, Mary Elizabeth, Frances, and Charles Jr.; his father, Patrick Redmond, Sr.; two sisters, Mrs. Alfred Pickett and Mrs. Frank Pickett of this city; and six brothers, Michael, William, David and P.J. of this city, John Redmond of Detroit, and C.F. Redmond of Los Angeles, California. The funeral will be held from St. Augustine's church at 9:00 Wednesday morning.
