She was born on September 3, 1850, in Bethel, Branch county, and at the age of 16 years joined the U.B. church of which she has been a continuous attendant and active member. Of thirteen children born to her, but seven survive. They are: Mrs. Ida Cole, of Kalamazoo; Floyd, of Coloma; Mrs. Ada Carr, Vicksburg; William of East Lansing, Dayton of Colon, Olin of Vicksburg, and Clyde of St. Paul, Minn. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Orpha Champion, of Tontonaga, O. Services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday from the Ruper Funeral home, in charge of Rev. E.L. Marsh and burial will be given in the local cemetery.
