THE LENGTH WAS THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY FEET AND THE BREADTH TWO HUNDRED AND TEN FEET. IT WAS SURROUNDED BY A DITCH THREE FEET DEEP AND TWELVE FEET WIDE AND WAS KNOWN TO THE PIONEERS AS THE FORT.
