Charles Elijah Grice (1865 - 1953) and Belle Florence (Williams) Grice (1877 - 
1971) lived in Alamo Township, Detroit, Lawrence and also in downtown 
Kalamazoo.  Next to this tombstone is the tombstone of his parents, William 
and Margaret (Ivey) Grice.

Belle was the daughter of Chester A. Williams (1825 - 1894) and Harriette 
(Tallman) Williams (1832 - 1918), who are also buried here.  Chester was an 
early settler in Alamo Township, Kalamazoo County, MI.  He settled here with 
brothers Alfred Williams and John Williams and a small whistlestop town named 
after the family thrived for years along the Kalamazoo and South Haven 
Railroad.
