Mary was the wife of Alfred, who is buried next to her. Alfred was an early settler in Alamo Township, Kalamazoo County, MI. He settled here with brothers Chester Williams and John Williams and a small whistlestop town named after the family thrived for years along the Kalamazoo and South Haven Railroad. Alfred and Mary had at least seven children: Halsey, Fred, Sarah, Frank, Alfred, John and Bert.
