Elizabeth Vermeulen
1860-1900

Elizabeth Vermeulen is the daughter of Izaak Risseeuw and Sara Jansen. 
Elizabeth was born June 24, 1860 in IJzendijke, Zeeland, Netherlands.

Elizabeth died September 24, 1900 in Kalamazoo, Michigan and was buried 
September 26, 1900 in Portage Central Cemetery (Lot #40), Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Elizabeth married Izaak (Isaac) Vermeulen on May 11, 1882 in IJzendijke, 
Zeeland, Netherlands.  Izaak (Isaac) is the son of  Willem Vermeulen and 
Jozina Jansen.
They had five children: 
Izaak (Isaac) Risseeuw VerMeulen, Willem Hendrik (William Henry) VerMeulen, 
both born in IJzendijke, Netherlands. 
Three children born in the US are: Henry VerMeulen (married Winifred Stapert), 
Sarah VerMeulen (married Jacob Louis) and Jozina (Sinnie) VerMeulen (married 
Andrew Bogema)

After Elizabeth died in 1900, Isaac married Aaltje (Alice) Doorn DeBoer on 
April 30, 1901 in Kalamazoo and they had a daughter, Henrietta (married 
Clifford Miller). 
Alice already had children by her first marriage - John, Jennie and Andrew 
DeBoer (married Anna DeVries daughter of Engbert DeVries and Jantje (Jenny) 
Timmer.
