Susan lost her first husband Carl J. Bowman to cancer Nov. 14, 1976 & lost her 
second husband Robert Doud Jr. to cancer June 29, 2015.
Sue was born in Kalamazoo on May 15, 1942, the daughter of Donald Dutton and 
Violet Virginia " Twigg " Phillips. She was a lifelong resident of Comstock. Sue's 
family owned the well-known Comstock Beer Service party store for over 50 years, 
where she was employed from 1977 to 2002.
