Father Cornelous Christian  1841-1916

Cornelous/Cornelius Christian, son of Cornelis Christiaansen (1801 - abt. 
1861) and Maria Buijse (1814 - 1850). He was born Cornelis Christiaansen in 
Groede, Zeeland, Netherlands.  He married Mary Verburg (1852 - 1906) on July 
1870 in Kalamazoo.  Mary Verburg was born in Kalamazoo.
Mary Verburg Christian is the daughter of Marinus Christian Verburg (1811-
1882) and Jannetje Mulder (1820-1901).

Cornelous emigrated to the US in 1851 with his father and two sisters.  His 
mother died in the Netherlands.

Cornelous Christian's siblings are:

01.  Maria Christiaansen born Abt. 1832 and died February 24, 1836 in Groede, 
Zeeland, Netherlands.

02. Elizabeth Christiaansen (Christian) 1833-1918.  Elizabeth Christian 
married John Born (1829 - 1913)

03. Janneke Christiaansen (1836 - 1837) Janneke was born and died in the 
Netherlands.

04. Maria A. (Mary) Christiaansen (Christian) 1845 - 1913.  Maria was born in 
Groede, Zeeland, Netherlands.  Maria/Mary married John Dwight Mumford (1842 - 
1924) September 1869 in Kalamazoo.  Both are buried in Riverside Cemetery, 
Kalamazoo.
