John immigrated about 1964 with parents and brother, Martin, from Ireland - 
believe County Galway (family initially settled in Nashville, TN where sister, 
Kate, was born about 1867; John subsequently lived in Louisville, KY, Neenah, 
WI, and, finally in 1911 until his death, Kalamazoo, MI.  Married Bertha E. 
Henning on January 25, 1882 in Louisville, KY.  Had seven sons: Martin "Mart" 
D., George T., John "Jake" Cornelius, William "Will" C., Godfrey "Fritz; Fred" 
Thomas, Edward "Ed" C., and Walter E.  Sons, William, Godfrey and Edward, 
along with John's brother's family (Martin and Mary Mannion) lived in 
Kalamazoo.
