Mr. Gragg moved to this state & located with his uncle & grdparents on a farm near Albion as a small boy. He married Harriet & 3 sons born; Avey, Walter & George. Avey died during the days of the Civil War & while Bradford was in the service of his country. Mr. Gragg enlisted in 1862, 1st MI Engineers, served 2 years & 9 months. Harriet d 04/16/1900. Mr. Gragg moved to Kalkaska Co in 1878 & settled on a farm in Orange Twp until he moved to the village in 1908. Ida, sons & a host of friends are left to mourn the loss of a kind companion & loving father. He united with United Brethren Church, Orange Twp. After it was discontinued he united with the Methodist Church of Kalkaska, as a faithful member to the day of his death. Kalkaska has lost one of its pioneers, the church has lost one of her stalwart men. The family has lost a loving father, but heaven has gained one of her faithful ones who awaits our homecoming at the close of our day on earth.
