The Leader and the Kalkaskian, January 3, 1957
ERNEST LITTLE PASSES AWAY EARLY SATURDAY. Ernest Little, 70, a lifetime 
resident of Kalkaska County, passed away early Saturday morning at his farm 
home. Mr. Little had been in ill health for some time. He was born Oct. 12, 
1886, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Little. 0n Feb. 9, 1914, he was united in 
marriage to Catherine Yoder of Kalkaska. Mr. Little was a past member of the 
Grange, and served with the U.S. Marine Corps. Surviving with his widow 
Catherine, are two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Weldon of Pontiac, and Mrs. 
Ernestine Coutts, of Royal Oak, and one stepson, Gilbert Metzgar of Bay City, 
one brother Anthony Little of Port Huron, two sisters, Mrs. James Cobbin of 
Brown City and Mrs. Robert Fogal of Beaverton, Ont., and eight grandchildren. 
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 31, at 2 o'clock from the Berg 
Schwartz Funeral Home in Kalkaska with the Rev. Edward Belles officiating. 
Burial was in Evergreen cemetery. - The Leader and the Kalkaskian, January 3,
