Ada and Portland Boys are Names - Ionia Officer Promoted

Washington, Oct 26.- Among the commissions announced by the war department are 
the names of two veteran western Michigan men, Harry Morris of Ada, Mich. and 
John D. Bradfield of Portland, Mich. Morris is made a second lieutenant in the 
quartermaster corp. and Bradfield a first lieutenant in the medical corp.   
Announcement also is made the Lieut. George W. Webber of Ionia a field 
artillary officer at Camp Jackson has been promoted to a captain. He enlisted 
as a private.
