Grand Rapids Press October 26, 1918
Washington, Oct. 26-Among the commissions announced by the war department are 
the names of two western Michigan men, Harry L. Morris of Ada, Mich., and John 
D. Bradfield of Portland, Mich. 
Morris is made a second lieutenant in the quartermaster corps and Bradfield a 
first lieutenant in the medical corps.
Announcement also is made that Lieut. George W. Webber of Ionia, Mich. a field 
artillery officer at Camp Jackson has been promoted to a captaincy. He 
enlisted as a private.
