Holland Sentinel  Sept. 9, 1937
Mrs. John Bronkhorst, 67. a former resident of Holland and Wayland, died this 
morning in the home of her daughter, Mrs Minnie Vander Weide, 118 Banner St. 
S.W., Grand Rapids. The body will lie in state at the Bennett Funeral parlors 
in Wayland until Friday afternoon when it will be taken to the Vander Weide 
home in Grand Rapids for the funeral, Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in 
Pilgrim Home cemetery, Holland, Michigan. Survivors include four daughters, 
Mrs. Jennie Keyser of Martin and Mrs. Dorothy Wierenga, Mrs. Margaret Lewis 
and Mrs. Minnie Vander Weide of Grand Rapids; four sons, John, Elmer and 
Benjamin of Grand Rapids and William of Cincinnati, Ohio; 24 grandchildren; 
two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Van Velden of Central park and Mrs. Ollie Mulder of 
Byron Center; and two brothers, James Vegter of Zeeland and Albert Vegter of 
Holland.
