Grand Rapids Press, 23 Nov 1960:
BROWN, James E., aged 76 of 100 Straight Ave., NW, passed away Wednesday 
morning.  Surviving are several cousins.  
Funeral services will be held at the O'Brien 
Colonial Funeral Home, 230 Jefferson Ave., SE., Saturday morning at 10:30.  
Interment Rockford cemetery.  Deceased was a member of Enterprise lodge No. 
406, IOOF.  Mr. Brown will repose at the T.J. Blanchard Funeral Home, 4031 
Clyde Park av., SW, until Friday morning when he will be taken to the downtown 
chapel.
