At the age of ten years his parents moved to Michigan. In 1862 he was married to Arzilla House, and to them a son, James Edgar, was born. He leaves one sister, Mrs. Helen Burch of Edgerton, and many other relatives and friends to mourn his loss. He was one of the sturdy pioneers who came here in an early day and helped to clear and develop the wilderness into a home for himself and family. He was a man whose word was as good as his bond, honorable in all dealings and will be greatly missed by his neighbors as well as his family and relatives. Funeral services at the home in Edgerton and burial at Rockford, Rev. Byron A. Hahn officiating. Card of Thanks - We wish to express our thanks to the neighbors and friends for their kind assistance in the illness and death of our father and brother. Especially the Maccabees, Jas. C. Brown, Mrs. Helen Burch, Mrs. Adda Tryon. Additional Comments: Son of William H. & Elizabeth Brown.
