Observer & Eccentric, December 27, 2007
HILLEGONDS, REV. WILLIAM C.
    Passed away on December 23, 2007 at his home.  He was born in 1922 in 
Chicago, Illinois.  

Bill served his country during WW II in the European Theater.  Following the 
war he studied the ministry and served numerous churches following his 
graduation. He devoted much of his ministry to working with young people at 
Hope College and in Ann Arbor.  He retired from Brighton Presbyterian in 
Michigan and finally moved to Breton Woods Retirement Home in Grand Rapids.

Survivors include his wife, two sons and their wives, and seven grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be on Saturday morning at the John Knox Presbyterian 
Church in Grand Rapids.  Visitation will be on Friday at the Ofield Funeral 
Home, Kentwood.  Memorials may be sent to the Hillegonds "49 Endowed 
Scholarship Fund" at Hope College or to the John Knox Presbyterian Church 
Building Fund in Grand Rapids.
