March 28, 1850, united in marriage to John Hoadley. To this union 6 children, 5 together with a sister, Mrs. Addie Tyron of Edgerton, survive her. In 1870 she and her husband were converted and became members of the M.E. church, 12 years later changing their membership to the F.M. church of which she was a consistent member until her death. Since her husband departed this life Nov. 16, 1910, she has waited and prayed for the Master to call her home to her loved ones, her prayer being answered April 1, 1920, when she fell asleep in the arms of Jesus at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Emma Becker, of Cedar Springs, with whom she has made her home for the past 7 years. Funeral on Sunday and interment in Elmwood cemetery. Grandma Hoadley was a motherly Christian woman.
