At the age of ten years, her father being dead, she came to Kent Co., Michigan where she has since resided, excepting two years of her early life, which were spent near Altona, Michigan. She wasunited in marriage to Jas. S. Hoadley, also of Kent county on April 4, 1882, to which union four children were born. In her youth she was converted and jointed the Baptist church, and continued a consistent member until her death. She has been in poor health for the past three years and patiently awaited her Master's summons. On October 16 she was stricken with a cerebral hemorhage, and passed to be with her Lord early Oct. 17, 1924, aged 60 years 1 mo. 22 days. She leaves to mourn her loss two daughters, Mrs. D.L. Farr, 1245 Scribner Ave., Mrs. O.J. Potter, 442 Hall Street, S.E. and one son, Max, who resides at 1135 Fuller Ave., all of Grand Rapids. Her husband and son, Milo, having preceded her in death. She also leaves one brother, S.S. Brown of Ann Arbor. She was a steadfast Christian, a faithful wife, a loving mother, and a sympathetic friend, and leaves the memory of a worthy life with all who knew her. Funeral services were held in the Baptist church at Cedar Springs, Oct. 19, and interment in Elmwood Cemetery.
