Coopersville Observer, December 9, 1910
Isaac Hodges was born September 20, 1826 in Ontario, Wayne Co., NY and died 
November 20, 1910, Grand Rapids, MI.  He had moved first to Ypsilanti in 1835, 
then to Rollins, before settling in Grand Rapids.  One of ten children, all 
having died before him except a sister, Mrs. Ann Ames of Higginsville, MO. 
Besides her, he leaves behind nephews and nieces and other relatives. He was 
buried in Ottawa Center cemetery; with services conducted by the Rev. F. W. 
Haist of the M. E. Church of Coopersville.
