MARY JANE KOPF WAS SUMMONED TO HER ETERNAL HOME LAST WEEK, WEDNESDAY. Mary Jane Lang was born January 7, 1833, in Lester, Livingston county, New York and departed this life June 16, 1926, at Lowell Michigan, aged 93 years, 5 months, 18 days. She was united in marriage to John Kopf September 22, 1853, at Geneseo, NY, who preceded her in death thirty-eight years ago. Together they resided in New York state and Lowell, Michigan. They came to this village seventy-three years ago. To them were born nine children, two of whom have gone before: viz., John and Christeen. The remaining seven are: Ella Kopf, of Grand Rapids; Siegel Kopf, of Agricola, Mississippi, Gertrude Crawford, of Ionia, Murtice Barge, of Lowell, Edith Brunner of Freeport, Alice Hurley, of Grand Rapids, Charles Kopf, of Middleville. She mothered Dora Winegar, her mother having died when she was an infant. Together, with nineteen grandchildren and 16 great grand children and numerous relatives and friends who mourn their loss. The funeral services which were conducted by Rev. A.J. Blair were held from the old home where she lived with her daughter, Mrs. G. W. Bangs. Those from oout of town who attended her funeral were Mr. And Mrs. John R. Jensen. Mr. And Mrs. Harry Lodge, Mrs M. Finch, Mrs. Adeline Pagel, Goodrich Kopf, Charles Hurley and family, Mr. And Mrs. F. J. Riegling, Miss Ella Kopf, from Grand Rapids. Mr. And Mrs. A. F. Nagler and Noble Nagler from Plainwell: Mr. And Mrs. Charles Kopf from Middleville; Mrs. Glenn Dolph, Hastings; J. W. Hurley, Chicago; Mr. And Mrs. Graff and daughter, of Orleans; Mrs. Mary Norton, Belding; Mr. And Mrs. J. D. Crawford, Mr. Donald Crawford, Mr. And Mrs. Harry Lystrup, Mrs. A. Jay, from Ionia; Mr. And Mrs. C. L. Warner and family, of Lansing ; Mr. And Mrs. G.K. Bangs, of Shelby, Mr. And Mrs. Brunner, of Freeport, and numerous friends and relatives of this vicinity.
