Obituaries
LAWSON- Private First Class 
Jerry Kenneth Lawson, age 20, of 
Fort Polk, Leesville, Louisiana 
passed away March 26th. He was 
born in Lakeview, Michigan, June 
11, 1956 to Doran & Doris 
Lawson. 
He married Cherri Gonzales in 
Kent County, Nov 3, 1975 and 
entered into the U.S. Army, 6 
days later on Nov 9 1975.
He is survived by his wife 
Cherri and son Jerry Leo Lawson; 
His Mother, Doris (Gibbs) Lawson 
of Sparta, MI.; 3 brothers and 
two sisters; Butch Lawson & wife 
Carol of Southern California, 
Sgt. Darryl Lawson & wife 
Lorraine in Germany, Daniel 
Lawson & wife Barbara, Gloria 
Rama and Shirley Cotton all of 
Sparta; His Grandmother Mrs. Eva 
Eggleston of Grandville, MI; 
Several Aunts, Uncles and 
Cousins.
Military funeral services were 
held Saturday at the Hessel-
Cheslek Funeral Home with Major 
Clifford Owens officiating. 
Interment Grandville Cemetery, 
Grandville, MI.
