Mrs. Meinke Dies In Grand Rapids

Mrs. Emilie Meinke 77, much loved woman of this community dies Monday, Sept. 30 
at the home of her daughter, Mrs Case Heering in Grand Rapids. She had been in 
serious condition for several months, and suffered two heart attacks last week. 
She was taken to the Heering home in an ambulance last week, and lived only a few 
days after going there.

Mrs. Meinke was a charming lady, sweet and kind, and a general favorite with her 
neighbors. She and her daughter, Elsie, lived on the farm west of town, and she 
took an active part in the affairs of the neighborhood. She is also survived by a 
third daughter, Mrs. Freida Radecke, and by a son Fred, of Grand Rapids; and by a 
sister, Mrs Augusta Fabisak, of Grand Rapids; and by 3 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at the Medcalf Mortuary in Grand 
Rapids and burial will be in Rosedale Memorial park.
