Henry Prior Rites to be Saturday
Salesman Fatally Injured in Auto Accident Thursday

Funeral services for 34 year old automobile salesman killed in a automobile 
accident here Thursday morning, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the 
Joldersma Chapel. Burial will be in Washington Memorial Park Cemetery. Prior 
died after he was thrown from his car against a store display window following 
a two-car crash at Burton and Division Streets, police said. He was the second 
traffic death in Grand Rapids and the fifth in Kent County this year. Patrolman 
John Palczewski said Prior's northbound car collided with one driven by Gerald 
Pastoor, 21, of 1369 Johnston Street SE, traveling east on Burton St. Born in 
Hartford, Conn. Prior was a resident eight years, and was employed as a 
salesman for Burkholder Cherolet Co. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War 
11. Surviving are his wife, Frances A.; Dirk,2 1/2; Kathleen, 20 months and 
Phillip, 9 months; a brother, Maj. George L. Prior, of Fort Sam Houston,Texas.
