Surviving two brothers: Ralph of Burr Oak, Otis of Grant, Mich. 
Funeral services: 2 p.m. Sunday (28 Feb 1965), Rexcode Funeral Home in 
Centreville
Burial: Prairie River Cemetery (Centreville, St Joseph Co., MI)

Vern’s name is also sometimes spelled Vene Ray SHEARS. Wife Ina’s maiden name 
was Inez Mae PICKARD.  Sister Mrs. Charles Rood’s maiden name was Ola Dorothy 
SHEARS.  Sister Mrs. Orin Krontz’s maiden name was Edith Elma SHEARS.
