James Veenstra, 92, of Grand Rapids, died on Aug. 5, 2010. James was born on 
Sept. 17, 1917 to Seblo and Hattie (Zylstra) Veenstra. He was preceded in 
death by his wife, Charlotte (DeBok) Veenstra. They were married Dec. 30, 1954 
in Indiana. 
James is survived by his children, Don and Renae Veenstra, Deb and Jerry Coon, 
Dan and Kelli Veenstra; by his grandchildren, Dr. Stephanie and Devon 
Cunningham, Kimberly Coon, and Nicole Veenstra, Andrew Veenstra, and Jacob 
Veenstra. 
Service will be held Monday at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home in Grand 
Rapids.
